Charlotte Beach

Postby Kieran » Mon Jun 20, 2011 8:11 am

I was at Charlotte beach this weekend and couldn't help but notice a few nice sets of rails, cement barriers, huge logs to jump on, tons of picnic tables, climbable structures etc and would love to set up a jam there in the future. After re-watching 'Out of Time' at movie night this past Friday the sand is definitely looking pretty tempting too and serves as a nice soft landing to some of the more complex tricks we don't always get to practice. For those of you who have never been the atmosphere there is old school beach town and a lot different from what we usually train in. The only thing we need to be careful about is the crack down from the police there lately. As long as were smart about how we train I don't see there being any issues yet. Let me know if any of you have any interest in checking it out sometime this week with me. I'm usually free after 6.

-Woah, I remember this place! Sandy parkour seems like a great idea indeed. I'd be willing to help scout the place out a bit, I just don't have any current mode of transporation until possibly later this thursday.

I'm down. If enough people want to go I'll just close the gym early and we can carpool up.

I'd get in on this, does thursday sound good to people? I could pick up a few others on my way down there, just send me a PM if you need a lift.

Yeah, I'd love to go. I can probably bike there, it's only about 5 miles from my house (and a little swim since the irondequoit outlet bridge is out), just gotta plan the the logistics of swimming with a bike...
