Kids Program

Kids Program Ages 6 to 9

My three kids have been in several classes: Tiny Movers, Kids 1 and 2, and Youth 1 and 2 classes. The instructors are great at encouraging safe movement and recognize when a child is ready to try more challenging moves and obstacles. These parkour classes have been amazing for building strength and confidence!

Class Levels

Kids class at The Rochester Parkour Gym

Level 1

Suitable for all skill levels and beginners

Everyone starts in a Level 1 class, for at least one class. From there, an instructor will let you know if they think your child should be put into our more advanced Level 2 class.

Level 2

for more advanced kids

Level 2 requires students meet our physical and behavioral limits. Students in this class can hang from a bar for 30 seconds, hold a straight arm plank for 30 seconds, broad jump their height, and balance on a rail for 10 seconds without falling.

Fun Fitness
Your kids will have so much fun learning how to run up walls, jump over gaps, vault over barriers, and balance on rails!
Life Skills
The skills they learn in class are designed to travel with them for their entire lives! They’ll gain a new sense of confidence with how they interact with the world.
Respect and Responsibility
Parkour might not have “teams” but your kids will be learning right along side other students. Some students pick things up faster than other. Some students require more time to hone their skills. No matter what, we celebrate the accomplishments of our fellow students and learn to build each other up.
Improved Strength and Balance
Starting early is a great way to establish a healthy lifestyle for your kids. The more skills and moves they learn, the more they actually want to move!
